Testing students understanding

In this infographic, I display several ways of testing student understanding in the cyber classroom, each has its benefits but test slightly different things the method that works best will vary from subject to subject.

  1. Hey, Sidney! I really like how you made your infographic cute and visually appealing to draw in your audience. I feel like we can all learn from your perspective that written assignments are using facts and critical thinking skills, that is very important for educators to think about. What assessments you personally find to be the most valuable in an online class from your perspective as a student?

  2. Hi Sidney,
Your infographic is super cute! I like how it is simple yet descriptive. Your definition for written assignments “can they use the facts while using critical thinking skills?” is especially informative of the purpose of these types of assignments. For the methods of testing student understanding that you listed, do you think these methods are more beneficial in an online environment than they are in an in-person setting?

  3. Hi Sidney! I love your creativity with this project! It is adorable. As I agree with Missi, your presentation is simple but adorable in your own way. I do think that you could have added a bit more detail to answer some of your own questions in regard to forming more of an informative presentation but otherwise this was adorable! Do you wish you could have changed anything about this post?

  4. Hi Sidney, I really like the welcoming feeling of your infographic, I especially like the pixelated dog. When I was doing my own blog post I completely forgot to consider that teachers can use written assignments to test students' critical thinking skills. I'm curious, what do you think is the best method of evaluation for teachers to use in an online environment?

What did I gain out of this class?
